Introduction

The batteries are to be tested in an ambient temperature of 20 ±5°C. A test sample battery is to be placed on a flat surface. A 15.8 mm (5/8 inch) diameter bar is to be placed across the center of the sample. A 9.1 ±0.46 kg (20 ±1 pound) weight is to be dropped from a height of 610 ±25 mm (24 ±1 inch) onto the sample.

This battery impact tester conforms to SJ/T11170-1998, UL2054:1997, GB/T18287-2000 and related standards.

1. Weight of drop ball: 9.1kg or 10kg.
2. Drop height: 610 or 1000mm. Weight can be lift to this height and release fall free on vertical direction, do not tilt, do not shake.
3. Bar: diameter 15.8mm bar, cross placed on the middle of battery, keep bar parallel to bottom surface of battery.
4. In case material: SUS#304 stainless steel.
5. Filling material: glass wool.
